Excerpt: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is releasing a Proposed Plan to address issues related to contaminated groundwater at the Alcoa site, and sediments and fish at the Mississippi River Pool 15 (MRP15) site in Riverdale, Iowa. This action, to address these two interrelated sites, is being taken under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as the Superfund law.
